Welcome to the European Deaf Christian Alliance (EDCA). Let me introduce myself: I am David Roldan, and I am the president of EDCA. I would like to thank the members of the 17 participating countries for their unity and cooperation. May we all bless and honor our Lord Jesus. Recently, on 21 February, 2015, I began my position as president for the period of 2015 - 2018. For all of you who participated in giving me this responsibility, I thank you. I would especially like to thank Kasper de Jong, who has been leading this organization for the past four years, with much hard work and dedication, and with the blessing and strength from the Lord as he put much effort into his work to bring this organization forward in unity. May God bless you!

Now we continue onward in unity and blessing. This is an organization that has been going from 1998 to now, 2015. And we will continue advancing, even though we fight with God's strength and blessing as we seek to follow Jesus, the divine King, who is over all and worthy of all honor.

So, why is EDCA important? What are our main objectives? Our main objective is to build up the Deaf church in a variety of ways. This organization is like a family with many "children" or areas of focus:

  • The development and encouragement of the Deaf church across Europe,

  • Training pastors and leaders,

  • Family,

  • Youth,

  • Evangelism,

  • Deaf worship,

  • Deaf-blind,

  • .and there may be new ministries to come.

We thank the Lord, who is allowing each of these areas to grow and develop. These ministries are like lights. The Word of God is a light for our path, lighting the way we should go. We desire that people would open their eyes to see God, and that He would touch their hearts as we move forward, united in Christ, advancing to reach different people groups throughout the world. It is important to raise up ministries of the Kingdom of God in the name of Jesus.

We encourage you to get to know us and the different areas of service that we offer, and to participate with us in these activities. The leaders of these ministries have years of experience in this organization as it has evolved over the decades. EDCA has been a beautiful blessing to many.

Let me share a Bible passage with you:

    I John 4:10-14

This is what love is: it is not that we have loved God but rather that He loved us and sent his Son to be the means by which our sins are forgiven.

Dear friend, if this is how God loved us, then we should love one another. No one has ever seen God, but if we love one another, God lives in union with us, and his love is made perfect in us.

We are sure that we live in union with God and that he lives in union with us, because he has given us his Spirit. And we have seen and tell others that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.

Thank you for letting me share this with you. We ask you to pray for the salvation of many people, that they will have Jesus in their hearts and to give honor to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank you, and may God show you his blessings,

    EDCA President
    David Roldan Spain
